Oyster experience

On the waterfront of Mali Ston, in a medieval salt warehouse, lies the restaurant Bota, named after the old Dubrovnik term for an arched ceiling.

The restaurant offers and preserves authentic Dalmatian cuisine, drawing inspiration for its dishes from two old cookbooks found in the dusty corners of this monumental building. The oyster, as the region's signature product, along with other shellfish, crabs, and fish, is prepared using original recipes from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic.

Bread from the wood-fired oven, grilled fish, stews, buzara dishes, risottos and pastas, and various local desserts will delight your taste buds and take you back to the glorious past of this region... 

There are several packages available, each designed to provide a unique and memorable holiday, and an authentic Dalmatian experience.

  • Oyster Picnic
    • Starting sailing through the Mali Ston bay and boarding to the wooden floating dock named Oyster Bar. At the bar you will get a presentation about cultivating oysters and you will have the privilege of tasting them fresh, just taken from the sea.
    • After tasting the oysters, they start to prepare Dalmatian's traditional stew meal named Buzara with mussles just taken out from the sea.
