Split is a beautiful coastal city in Croatia, famous for its Diocletian’s Palace, a remarkable historic site that forms the heart of Split as the city originated from the palace.
„Split Cooking Class“ gives you an excellent opportunity to discover Split, Dalmatian cuisine and the Split way of life. All classes are in English, with the guidance of professional chefs.
Morning Class & Markets includes:
●Buying ingredients in the green market and fish market
●Preparing and cooking the food guided by professional chef with expert advice (fileting, chopping, cleaning fish)
●Cooking traditional dishes like risotto, fish stew, grilled and oven baked fish, fish carpaccio, preparing traditional desserts like rožata (crème caramel Croatian style)
●Lunch with a menu consisting of the dishes prepared in class paired with dalmatian wines
The entire class is carefully organized and conceived and tells a lovely story of the town of Split and the way of life here, but the cooking process and food preparation used here in Dalmatia as well.
The chefs are professionals who will safely guide you through the cooking process and you will learn a lot from them. No matter if you feel at home in the kitchen or you only go there to make coffee, this course will be an unforgettable experience.
The course is tailor-made for everyone because it teaches you in a simple and detailed way how to prepare food, get organized in the kitchen and use your groceries in the best way, with minimum scraps.
You will feel like a local as you walk through the green and fish market, but as you prepare traditional Dalmatian dishes as well.
You will get recipes for the dishes you make in class so you can be a professional chef at home as well, and enjoy Dalmatian specialties.
When you complete the class, along with good food and memories, you will also receive a diploma for your achievements, giving you a special memento from your trip.
SERVICES OFFERED BY THE ‘SPLIT COOKING CLASS’ TEAM:
●The Morning Class & Markets last from the morning to the early afternoon. (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
●The Afternoon Cooking Class only includes the cooking and food preparation part of the class, as the green and fish market are closed in the afternoon.
●Split Vegan Class is tailor made for our vegan guests and does not include fish.
●Mediterranean Master Class a tailor made master class for two, that includes a visit to the markets, food preparation, and an olive oil and wine course.
●The Split Pastry Class & Pastry Master class consist of teaching you how to make traditional Dalmatian desserts like The Cake of Split (with dried figs and raisins), Apple Strudel, Paradižot (Dalmatian version of ‘Floating island’) and Rafioli (pastry with almond filling)
